Are you in count down mode yet?

Count down to summer vacation that is.

I certainly am.

7 weeks to go.

eating chicken fries

I do enjoy the quiet house during the day,

but the crazy schedule I can do without.

Yesterday, between practice and two pickups,

I spent 2 1/2 hours in the car,

and that was just the afternoon.

Throw in a couple of year end school projects,

and we are rushing in,

getting the homework done,

rushing back out,

and if we are lucky,

we can grab a quick snack,

before getting back in the car.

Sound familiar?

I’m sure it does.

Last week we spent over 5 hours at a volleyball tournament,

{ I had NO idea we would be there that long}

and we did not come prepared with enough to eat.

{skittles and Gatorade do not a good meal make}

By 9 pm, we were STARVING.

MOM FAIL for sure

This week, I’m prepared.

Tyson Chicken Fries

{good thing I was at Sam’s to see the display}

you can see my Google + story here

are a quick

and easy

way to feed the kids

and still get where we need to go

on time.

They’re happy

I’m happy,

and I don’t feel like total failure:)

Pop them in the oven,

and in less than 15 minutes,

you can feed your hungry bunch

{and let me tell you, teens are always hungry}

I even had time to whip up a quick dip while they were baking.

You cannot have chicken fries, without a little buffalo dip!

buffalo blue cheese dip

Great for a snack, or a quick meal,

I plan on having these in my freezer ALL the time!

Buffalo Blue Cheese Dip

  • 1/2 cup of cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup of sour cream
  • 1/2 cup of crumbled blue cheese
  • 2 tsp hot suace

  • cream together the cream cheese and sour cream
  • {I used my food processor}
  • stir in the blue cheese
  • and hot sauce

the dip was great with the chicken fries

carrots and celery

and for my bunch

we couldn’t forget the french fries too!
