I don’t know what the weather is like where you are,

but here

in good old Cali

we’ve zoomed right past spring into summer

with temps in the low 90’s already.

I’m not complaining,

I really like spring.

If I have to be hot,

then I may as well cool off with a fruity drink,

if it’s a frozen fruity drink,

well that’s even better.

This week I found Fruti Natural Frozen Fruit Bars  at Sam’s Club.

{you can check  out my shopping trip here}

have you tried these yet?

They are delicious.

100% natural

non- GMO

Fruit is the main {first} ingredient

no high-fructose corn syrup

and come  in SO many amazing flavors.

I picked up the convenient variety pack

with 4 boxes of 4 different varieties

Strawberry Cream

Pina Colada

and Carribean.

As soon as I saw the last two flavors

I knew drinks were in order.

{vacation on an island anyone}

Stella and I got a little creative with some berries,

colored some sugar with red and yellow food coloring

{to make a cool carribean coral}

blended up our beverages,

and it was a party on the deck.

If you’re looking for some fun things to do with Fruit bars

don’t miss the in store demo at Sam’s on May 13

where they’ll be blending fruti and yogurt

{I bet that would make a great smoothie}

Our “summer” breeze as we’ve decided to call it

was SO refreshing

not too sweet,

and with all of the real fruit chunks in Fruti bars,

a snack and drink all in one.

Summer Breeze Frozen Fruit Drinks {adult and kiddie version}

  • 4 Strawberry Fruti Bars
  • 1 cup of tropical fruit juice
  • {I used Trader Joe's with mango, pineapple, papaya}
  • 1 cup of citrus flavored sparkling water
  • berries for the fruit kabobs
  • for the adults - 4 oz of Bacardi rum

  • cut the frozen bars in to cubes {to make blending easier}
  • add the juice to the blender
  • add the frozen fruti bars
  • add the water
  • and rum {if using}
  • blend
  • we served ours in sugar rimmed glasses
  • {mix 1/4 cup of sugar with 3 drops of yellow and 4 drops of red coloring - stir until all of the sugar ic colored}
  • dip the rim in water
  • and then in the sugar

Of course,

once the kidlets are in bed,

feel free to add a bit of Bacardi,

and then the real party begins:)
