a GREAT big thank you to Farm Fresh to You for sponsoring this post
For someone like me that LOVES fresh produce, having it delivered right to your door is like waking up on Christmas morning.
My box is waiting right at my door first thing Thursday morning. It really doesn’t get any better than that. I’m saving time by not having to go to the store, and with the our crazy school schedule and moving, my time is rather short these days.
The produce is organic, local, and seasonal. Farm Fresh to You allows you to fully customize each box adding items you want and removing those you don’t. You choose the box type, size and frequency of the deliveries I usually order the mixed fruit and veggie box with a couple extras, but you can also choose the all fruit, all veggie, or no-cook box. Farm Fresh to You even has other items you may need like fresh eggs, olive oil, and flowers. Next week I think I’m going to add the raspberry habanero jam.
Farm Fresh to You also offers a Refer-a -Friend Program. For every friend you refer, you earn $25 for your account, and they save $10 on their first box. For any of you in the Farm Fresh to You delivery areas (found here) you can use my refer-a-friend code HEAT3387 to save $10 on your first order.
This week my box had some of our FAVES
Grapes, apples, and pears as well as heirloom tomatoes, cucumber, and melon. The LARGEST rainbow carrots I have ever seen and some delicious baby broccoli.
The shishito peppers didn’t last the afternoon. I sauteed them in olive oil, with just a splash of lemon and sea salt.
- olive oil
- shishito peppers
- lemon juice
- sea salt
- heat olive oil in a skillet
- once hot,add peppers and saute over medium heat, stirring occasionally
- cook 10 minutes - or until slightly charred in a few places
- remove from heat and add a splash of fresh lemon juice ans sea salt to taste
and the apples became the BEST apple crisp
I get my weekly shopping done in minutes, and Thursday has become my favorite day of the week.
