If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook you may be tired of hearing abut my lunch packing.
I used to DREAD packing lunches. I’m not really sure why, but it was always something that I did not enjoy at all. This year, I ordered Planet Boxes for my kids. They are SO much fun, and it has made lunch packing one of my favorite things to do. I guess when you have a cute case, you want to pack a cute lunch.
When I was asked to participate in the Rock the Lunchbox campaign, I couldn’t say yes fast enough. Not only do I LOVE packing my kids a healthy lunch, but I LOVE the brands that put it all together.
Honest Tea/Honest Kids Organic Valley Stonyfield Farms and Annie’s
What can you find in our PlanetBox…
Pizza Roll-Ups {tortilla, sun dried tomato pesto, pepperoni, sliced fresh mozzarella}
Apple slices with cinnamon and sugar
Carrots and tomatoes
Yogurt
and our own Annie’s Mix {cheddar bunnies, graham bunny mix, dried cherries, almonds, yogurt and chocolate raisins}
You cannot forget the drink…Charlie and Stella LOVE Honest Kids – Berry Berry Good Lemonade for her, Super Fruit Punch for him. I used to pack water, but Honest Kids is sweetened with ONLY fruit juice, and contains 100% of the Vitamin C they need – which is good, ’cause as soon as school starts, the COLDS start too.
Now for the fun part…one lucky reader will win a 30 day supply of Honest Kids and an assortment of coupons from the other Rock the LunchBox partners
a Rafflecopter giveaway
No, I am not a Planet Box Ambassador, I just LOVE their product. I was sent samples from the Rock the LunchBox partners for participating.
How do YOU rock the lunchbox?
I think the lunches you make for your kiddos are just awesome. So healthy and interesting for kids. I try to keep things healthy by leaving the sugar and preservatives out.
thanks Holly…so far we are enjoying lunch packing this year 🙂
I try to make a nice balance of carbs, protein, and fat. I think variety keeps it interesting. Although when I was a kid, I didn’t see to mind a PB sandwich every day!
I still love a goof PB&J
Is it sad that I kinda want to get one of these lunch boxes for myself?? Those are soo cool! Thanks for sharing 🙂
I know – I want one, and I work from home 🙂
We try to switch up the lunch options every day so the kids don’t get bored. Easier said than done!
absolutely!
PBJ sandwiches and chicken quesadillas are popular with my toddler right now. Plus we eat a lot of season fruits and veggies. And Annie’s bunny crackers are always a favorite here 🙂
it’s funny, but even my teen loves those crackers still 🙂
I try to make fun foods for my kids, and ones that are healthy and I know they’ll eat!
yes, healthy is good, but if they don’t eat it…not so much:)
I don’t have to pack a lunchbox yet, but I am actually looking forward to it! And, I love all of your lunchbox Instagram pics 🙂
thanks Nicole!
Oooops! Your post just reminded me that my son didn’t get a drink in his lunch today….Mom fail! The only thing in his bag that rocked today is that I put a couple of cubes of cheese, a handful of dried peas and a handful of raisins together for his morning snack…a little lame….clearly I need help!
dried peas…my daughter would LOVE that!
I don’t actually pack a lunch box yet, either, but we do occasionally pack lunches for play dates & such. Right now I try to keep it exciting (not the same thing every time) & always, always, always have something to dip veggies into (instead of just serving carrots, serve it with hummus or peanut butter or something).
my kids will eat pretty much anything with dip! thanks Gillian
I try to pack different stuff all of the time so my son won’t get bored!
that’s a great idea!
can’t wait to win
I don’t have to make school lunches anymore, but I do have to make my husband’s lunch everyday. I think that is harder. He complains a lot more about the veggies I include than the kids ever did. I try to put a protein, 2 veggies, a fruit and a small treat in his lunch. It has to be gluten free though.
that would be tough, my husband will usually try to take leftovers
I LOVE the lunches you pack your kiddos, Heather. Wish you’d come here and do it for me! 😉 Awesome giveaway!!
I will say, the boxes help..they just makes me want to get creative 🙂
I rock my daughters’ lunch boxes with fresh cut up fruit!
my kids LOVE fruit in theirs too 🙂
I’m not currently doing much rocking of the lunchboxes, but that’s a-changing soon! Thanks!
thanks for stopping by Holly!
Leftovers warm in a thermos and snap peas (it is what my daughter loves)
mine too 🙂
New comment
By letting kids choose 1 special treat each day and tucking in love notes or jokes for them to find at lunchtime!
I LOVE that idea Barbara!
