{peppermint} Hot Cocoa on a Stick

Share

Tomorrow is our last day of school
before the holiday break.

{can you see my happy dance}

I am SO looking forward to the time off.

Class treats, white elephant gifts, and the teachers gifts are ready to go.

Yes, I am ready ahead of time.
No last minute putting together of the treat bags for me.

Actually, I have know what we were making for the teachers a while ago.

With Charlie now in middle school, we have A LOT of teachers to gift this year,
so I knew it would have to be homemade.

Thanks to Pinterest, I found the cutest hot chocolate on a stick gifts from the tom kat studio.

That’s what we made, and they turned out SO cute
if I do say so myself.

Peppermint Hot Cocoa on a Stick:
adapted from the tom kat studio

1/2 cup of heavy cream
1 can of sweetened condensed milk
3 cups of chocolate chips
1 tsp peppermint extract

marshmallows

Heat the cream and sweetened milk together
once small bubbles appear on the surface {do not boil}
remove from the heat
pour the milk/cream over the chocolate and let sit for about a minute
begin to whisk until all of the chocolate has melted
and then whisk in the peppermint {or vanilla if you like}

pour the ganache into a  parchment lined pan
chill overnight

cut and place on a stick with the marshmallow

to make the cocoa – pour hot milk over the chocolate/marshmallow

Enjoy!
