Don’t let the name fool you
these peanut butter cup overnight oats are a healthy way to start the day
It’s really hard to be a food blogger sometimes;
like when you are in the middle of a juice cleanse.
I’m halfway through day two, and so far it has not been as hard as I thought it would be, except that my Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram feeds of course are full of food.
Social Media can be cruel, so if you hear from me a bit less for the next couple of days, that is why.
Other than that I feel great. I was expecting at least a day of feeling sluggish, but I have way more energy that usual – and this is without my coffee
After the cleanse, I want to make sure to have plenty of healthy meals planned out and ready to go. If I’m pressed for time, I don’t always make the best choices, so for me planning is BIG.
That is why I absolutely love overnight oats. Mix them up the night before, and you have an instant breakfast in the morning.
This peanut butter cup variety is for those days I’m craving something sweet like a doughnut and my usual yogurt cup isn’t going to cut the mustard.
It feels indulgent, but with lowfat yogurt, natural peanut butter, and just a sprinkle of mini-chocolate chips, it really is a healthy breakfast choice.
Perfect for Fit Friday, next week that is.
Ingredients
- 6 ounces of low fat vanilla yogurt
- 1 ounce of natural peanut butter
- 1/4 cup old fashioned oats
- 1 Tbsp mini chocolate chips
Instructions
- combine the yogurt and peanut butter and mix well
- stir in the oats and chocolate chips
- cover {I used a mason jar} and refrigerate overnight
Enjoy!
This is so interesting, I never thought to make oatmeal with yogurt!

Hi there. I just jumped over from Instagram to check this out. I’ve been trying to eat really healthy this week and tonight I was craving dessert, so this was such a good idea. I happened to have leftover Bob’s Red Mill no wheat hot cereal from this morning, so I did your little concoction and I love it! Good luck on your juice fast. They always work wonders for me!

I have always wanted to try a juice cleanse, but I just don’t have the will power! I couldn’t possible enjoy juice when I could have these oats! Good luck Heather!
thanks Tanya, I have NO willpower, so if I can do it, anyone can
Good luck on you cleanse. Started that regiment 5 years ago. 60 lbs later I’m never going back. It is possible to convert not so health recipes into clean eating. That’s why I’m here
