Today is the day we have been counting down to…

the last day of school for 2013.

I have been almost as excited as the kids, and then I realized that they will be home with me,

all day

every day

until January 6th.

I hope Santa brings mommy some peace and quiet this year, or at least some good headphones.

Anyways, we love gifting our teachers with food. We’ve done cookies, candy, hot cocoa mixes, but my favorite has always been cinnamon rolls.

Stella was not on board this year. She wanted to buy gifts. Homemade gifts are lame she whined. Boring.

And then she walked in the door.

The smell of cinnamon rolls rising in unmistakable.

Jut like that the Grinch was gone.
