Lunch packing,

Are you tired of it yet?

I’m not afraid to admit that packing lunches has never been one of my most favorite mom duties. I am queen of breakfast (if I do say so myself) and I rock dinner more often than not, but my lunches usually leave much to be desired. Same boring sandwich, a cookie or two, carrots, grapes or an apple. Day in. Day out. Totally uninspired.

But with my kids getting older, and after school activities keeping them at school until pretty late in the day – 6:30 most days, I need lunches that last.

These bbq turkey flatbread pizzas do just that. Plus, they are delicious, so they get eaten. A lunch doesn’t do anyone any good if it ends up in the trash or getting traded.

Start with flatbread.  Add 1/4 cup of bbq sauce for each pizza. Top pizza with two slices of Foster Farms All Natural Sliced Turkey, diced (either variety, but I used the Oven Roasted), thinly sliced red onion, and 1/4 cup of finely shredded cheddar cheese.

Bake pizzas at 400 degrees for 10 minutes, and top with fresh cilantro

Nothing against a good sandwich, but these bbq turkey pizzas take brown bagging it to a whole new level. By using Foster Farms All Natural Sliced Turkey with 35% less sodium than the average sliced turkey, the pizzas are not only delicious, but also nutritious.

Foster Farms All Natural Sliced Turkey is 98% fat free and made with 100% turkey breast meat with NO added chemicals, preservatives, or artificial ingredients. Foster Farms All Natural Slow Oven Roasted Turkey Breast is perfect for these BBQ turkey pizzas, but for sandwiches we LOVE the Honey Roasted & Smoked Turkey. For more information about Foster Farms All Natural Sliced Turkey and to save a dollar visit thebestturkey.com to download your free coupon!
