back to school snacks with Jif

Seriously, how did it get to be back to school time already?
Last weekend we gave the kids a choice, water-park or back to school shopping. They both chose shopping. And one of them is a boy…since when do boys like shopping? I guess that is teenagers for you.
I think a week long vacation at a water-park in Hawaii would have been cheaper 🙂
With that part of our back to school routine taken care of, I have started getting together my list of quick and easy meals for the crazy after school schedule, along with lunch ideas and school snacks to feed the hangry teens that arrive home in the afternoon. One can never have too many snacks with teens in the house.
I found new Jif Spreads in Cinnamon and Maple on a trip to Walmart, and snacking may never be the same. I cannot think of maple without thinking of pancakes. So I whipped up a small batch of silver dollar pancakes using this recipe, and got to spreading. I may never buy plain old peanut butter again.
SO good you guys. You have to try it. Plus, if you are like me and have a picky eater, chances are good they like pancakes. Stella even wants to pack the pancakes with a small container of Jif Maple Peanut Butter spread in her school lunches, and I always need ideas for her lunch.
The Jif Cinnamon Peanut Butter spread is perfect for dipping apples (or eating by the spoonful) just look at how smooth it is,
but we also love to spread it on a tortilla, add some apples, and wrap it up. Next time I’m thinking quesadilla.Ooh or apple nachos. Now I’m making myself hungry,
You can never have too many grab and go school snacks on hand, and when I don’t have time to make granola bars or banana bread bars Jif bars are perfect for those afternoons that we go right from school, to football, to soccer.
You can find Jif flavored spreads in cinnamon and maple and Jif bars in the peanut butter aisle at your neighborhood Walmart.
Got any great back to school snack ideas? I’d love to hear them.
