There are  few things that I enjoy more than freshly baked bread or rolls.  I know I shouldn’t {and I don’t} but I could easily have bread with my meal every night.

And the smell when it’s baking…nothing comes even close.

Now that we are back in school, our lazy summer evenings have been replaced, and dinner needs to be a bit less leisurely.

30 minute dinner rolls

  • 1 cup of warm water
  • 1/3 cup of Greek yogurt
  • 2 Tbsp active yeast
  • 1/4 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 3 cups of flour

  • Stir all of the ingredients together
  • Using the dough hook attachment of a stand mixer, knead until a smooth ball forms
  • divide the dough into 12 sections, and roll each into a ball
  • place the balls in a lightly buttered 9x13 baking dish
  • cover and let rise for 10 minutes
  • heat the oven to 400
  • bake the rolls@400 for 10 minutes

The four of us may have eaten all 12 at dinner.

Yes, they are just that good, and since I  made them using yogurt, I don’t feel bad about all the honey butter that I ate with the rolls:)
