Weight Watchers Simple Start for the New year

I was given a free one month subscription to Weight Watchers to try their new Simple Start plan and write about my experience. Though I was compensated for my time and commitment, views are 100% my own

Weight Watchers #simplestart

Simple and weight loss don’t usually fit well together. Just ask anyone who has ever tried to lose weight.  It doesn’t even matter how much weight needs to be lost.  I have been trying to lose the same 10 pounds for the last, oh I don’t know ….forever.

I know it’s a matter of eat less move more. It sounds simple, but when you get down to it, it’s not.  Life get’s busy, meal choices may not always be the best, and workouts get skipped.

Weight Watchers is something that I have thought about in the past, but keeping track of points and logging everything I eat didn’t sound like something I could keep up with. But, it’s a new year, and I have decided that enough is enough.  I am simply not at my ideal weight, and I am going to do something about it.

I began with the WW membership, and actually had a great time checking out all of the features.  I had NO idea that fruits and veggies were 0 points. ZERO.  That single bit of information changed a lot about how I looked at my plates. It’s hard to feel deprived with a plate full of delicious vegetables.

Weight Watchers Simple Start is my favorite part of this program.  It takes all of the guess work out of what to eat, making the plan…simple. The app goes everywhere I go, and made this week’s trip to the grocery store a breeze. They’ve even added up the points for you. No weighing or measuring. Just nutritious, satisfying “power” foods.

You choose a good-for-you meal, and eat it. How simple is that.

I’ve just started the program, but am already SO excited about making these changes for my entire family. {my kids may NOT be as excited about all of the veggies on their plates}

Toast with cheese and fruit #simplestart

This morning I enjoyed  toast with cheese {made with fat free strained yogurt} and fruit – one of the simple start meal ideas.  Such a simple idea, and  delicious.

With this system nothing is off limits, and that for me is the key. As soon as you tell me I can’t have it, I want it.  But I will tell you something, as much as I was NOT a fan of keeping track of what I eat, I’ve noticed that I will opt not to eat something so that I don’t have to write it down…

Hey,whatever works right?
