Peanut Butter Apple Bread for LAND O LAKES® Butter with Canola Oil

Share

I am a proud member of the everything tastes better with butter club.

Veggies taste better with butter.

Pasta tastes better with butter.

Bread absolutely tastes better with butter.

Pancakes, waffles, French toast… you get the idea.

Even when I bake with things other than butter, my spread of choice is butter every time.

Just between us, I may or may not  go through 2+ pounds of butter a week

But have you ever tried to spread butter on your toast first thing in the morning? Yeah, it doesn’t go so well, or if you’re like me, you forget to get it out ahead of time and your bread at dinner gets pulverized at the table creating a BIG mess.

LAND O LAKES® Butter with Canola Oil is spreadable right from the fridge, so no more bread mess. Plus, it’s made with only three ingredients {and I can pronounce all of them}: sweet cream, canola oil, and salt. That’s fewer ingredients than any other spreadable butter or spreadable non-butter products.  Others have as many as 15 ingredients.

That’s all fine and dandy, but taste is what matters, right?

Let me tell you: LAND O LAKES® Butter with Canola Oil is delicious on pretty much everything.

fall comfort food at its best

and, of course, we love to butter up all our morning toastables

This peanut butter and apple loaf is fall on a plate. Slightly sweet, with hints of cinnamon and nutmeg, this bread tastes like our favorite fall snack – apples dipped in peanut butter.  Hot from the oven with LAND O LAKES® Butter with Canola Oil all melty – it simply cannot be resisted. The smell alone is intoxicating.

For breakfast, lunch, or as an afterschool snack, this loaf is one of our new favorite fall recipes.

For the bread –

2 medium apples, finely diced or shredded

1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

1 tsp cinnamon

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp nutmeg

1 1/2 cups flour

1 tsp baking soda

1/2 tp baking powder

1 egg, lightly beaten

1/2 cup peanut butter

Spray bread pan with non-stick cooking spray

Toss the apples with the sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt – set aside

Sift together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder, add to the apples.

Stir in the egg and peanut butter – the batter will be thick

Spread batter in pan, smooth the top, and bake for 45 – 55 minutes.

Cool in pan 5 minutes, then remove to rack to complete cooling.

I probably should have let mine cool longer, but I could not wait to dig in. I’m a fool for some hot bread and butter.

Enjoy!
