Hershey S'more Pie

I may not be the worlds biggest chocolate fan, but come summer time, I am a big s’more fan, and a s’more is not a s’more without the Hershey bar. It’s just one of those things.

To get ready for summer, my husband began re-doing our deck; it is the MOST used spot  in our home for probably 10 months out of the year, and it has been in need of some major TLC.

After purchasing the supplies, and loading the lumber into and out of the car, there wasn’t much left for me to do but watch the progress. So I grabbed my iced coffee, my grandmother’s old cookbook, and headed out back.

Not only was  my grandmother a fantastic cook, but she must have been very organized. Not only did she keep notebooks of each and every one of her recipes  {everything in one place – what a brilliant idea}  but many even have notes as to the date and who the original recipe was from.

I love reading these classics, and the fact that it is my grandmother’s handwriting makes this book priceless. The original dates back to Feb. 1935., and she later rewrote them in 1967.

I had paged through about half of the book, when I found it.

Honestly, I don’t remember ever having this a a child, but I will certainly be making it for my kids a lot.

Actually, it’s so easy, I bet the kids can make it themselves.
