Cake Batter Gooey Bars

Okay… so many of my recipes

I can trick myself into thinking are healthyish.

My fries are baked

My doughnuts are baked {usually}

cinnamon buttermilk doughnuts

and even my brownie waffles are served with fruit

well, today …not going to happen

this is not, in any way shape or form, a healthy snack, dessert, treat, or whatever you want to call it

{but totally worth the splurge}

I have been dreaming about Averie’s Milky Way Bars.

Everything she makes is amazing,

but her gooey bar recipes are some of my favorites.

How can you go wrong with crust, candy bars, and sweetened condensed milk.

You can’t!

I really wanted to make them, but I don’t  like to be a copycat,

that, and I didn’t have everything I needed.

{and I’m not all that patient, and getting to the store takes time away from baking and eating}

What I did have was some leftover funfeti cake mix, a cake batter filled chocolate bar, and of course…

sweetened condensed milk

pretty much mandatory for a food blogger

cake batter gooeys

cake batter tastes great in pretty much anything,

but when you add a little chocolate, and some gooey sweet milk,

well, pictures do not do them justice.

You’ll just have to try them for yourself.

Enjoy!
