My sister and I were VERY busy as  kids.

music lessons

There was hardly a night we weren’t running around,

but I LOVED every crazy minute.

Scouts was my favorite.

I loved girl scout camp,

earning badges,

and the crafts.

Plus, I was a very social kid:)

I also LOVED when it was our turn to bring snacks.

I remember one of my favorites was part brownie,

with little cookie “islands” on top,

cookie and brownie batter

and even though it came from a box,

I thought I was SO cool baking my own snack.

I wish I could remember exactly it was,

because I loved this dessert.

SO…I decided to try and come up with something that at least resembled the one from my childhood.

I think I came pretty close.

I did use a boxed brownie mix

{because I actually had one in the  pantry}

but you could use your favorite brownie recipe,

or even try it with these fudgy flourless brownies.

Even though this wasn’t an exact match to my girl scout treats,

it was delicious.

I also don’t think this will be my last attempt.
