Baileys Irish Cream Brownies

 

Wasn’t it just Valentine’s Day like a week ago?

Now all of a sudden here it is,
less than a week until Saint Patrick’s day.
I am seriously behind in the holiday food.
nothing green yet
no rainbows
I haven’t even made Irish stew,
and that is my husbands favorite meal.
I am pretty sure that these brownies totally make up for it.
I found the recipe at Gimme Some Oven,
and it is a keeper.
I happen to LOVE Baileys Irish Cream,
and brownies…
who doesn’t love a brownie every now and then.
and while they’re not green
they are Irish for sure:)

Baileys Irish Cream Brownies
~adapted from Gimme Some Oven
1 cup of AP flour
1/2 cup of cocoa powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/3 cup of chopped dark chocolate
1/4 cup of butter
1 cup of sugar
2 eggs
1/3 cup of Baileys Irish Cream
1 tsp vanilla
whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and the salt
melt the butter and chocolate together over low heat
{allow to cool until warm}
whisk in the eggs, sugar, vanilla, and Baileys
add the flour, stirring only until everything is just combined
pour into a foil lined 8×8 pan
bake @350 for 20 minutes
{toothpick should come out with a few moist crumbs}
let them cool
cut
and dust with powdered sugar
