Last week I mentioned here  that I have been struggling with my weight. It has been harder and harder for me to lose even a single pound, and seeing as how it’s summer, I’d love to be able to wear my sundresses, and I have a  lot of them, and feel good about how I look.

I’ve been making changes to my diet, but it has been discouraging. Sometimes, you just need a good shove in the right direction, and for me that has been Slimfast®, and their 14-day slimdown. Simply put, it’s a convenient way to lose up to 6 pounds in the first two weeks alone. That’s enough to get anyone motivated.

A little trick I’ve learned is that I need to keep my smart, healthy snack choices at eye level in my fridge. That way when I open it up, I’m not tempted with something dark and fudgy. Every little bit helps.

I LOVE food, it’s  one of the reasons I write a food blog. Planning for me has been a big part of this weight loss journey. Making sure the house is full of delicious,  healthy choices and having  healthy meals planned ahead of time are key, at least for me. {If you don’t want to eat it, don’t have it in the house}

Did I want to devour a gallon of ice cream when I first stared this plan; why yes I did.

But…once the scale started moving in the right direction, that changed.

It gave me the motivation that I needed to stick to my plan.
